Many companies do this test cheaper on a regular basis, like 23&me and FTDNA. It's also sort of a wasted opportunity to just try to get ancestry from your DNA. It can tell you so much more than that.

Something like Vitagene gives you way more info for $10 more. https://vitagene.com/products/vit...-dna-test/

Of course you can go to services like Promethease https://promethease.com to reanalyze your data for extra $5, but those reports are complete garbage.

From the cursory research I did, since their DB is much smaller, 23&me can't pinpoint your ancestry as well as Ancestry. So if you're doing this to find out 'where you come from', Ancestry will give you more specific locations.

Having done this test, 23andMe and Family Tree DNA, I have to say go with the other two. This is useless without Ancestry.com subscription. You'll see the matches, but won't be able to see their trees or any other relevant details.

Should have waited. Gotta have patience I guess.

That's interesting. I guess if my BIL looked at what Ancestry information gives, I can tell him to look at what you suggest.

I've got price match on every price drop on any amazon item I've ever bought (excluding used AW items) just by calling

you might be able to get into your amazon account and refuse shipping right now. I did that last week with an order.
