This website offers a quick, at-a-glance check to see if many utility companies are offering a rebate. It's not 100% complete, but worth a look if curious.

Don't forget about electric/natural gas rebates. Check your local utility company websites. My area has $150 in total rebates for smart thermostats.

You can get the Ecobee 4 at Lowes for about 150 after using 40 off 200 coupon and buying a gift card to use on the purcahse.

Thanks OP, picked one up for $181.41 after tax. Seems equivalent price to the FP best buy deal from a couple days ago

Thanks OP. I was able to get one for $175.55 including tax and 5% REDcard discount. This ended up being a better price than the Costco deal which it showed back ordered until the end of December.

I already bought the costco deal

(169.99 x 2) - 25 = 157.49 each + tax

Target is

(199 - 15%) - 5% = 160.69 each + tax

costco is only in black and target looks like only stainless steel is left

Too bad you can't use the 20% discount from shopping for 50 dollars or more on Black Friday.

Any reason why this is better than the Ecobee? I'd think the room sensors would put that over the top, but maybe I'm missing something.

I'm wondering the same thing. Trying to figure out which is better?
