Lowest it's been on amazon according to Camel. It's the older model of the U3417W.

For a given size (34") ultrawides may be less expensive than "regular" (16:9 or 16:10) because there is less screen real estate. Probably better to think of this monitor as a 27" 1440p monitor that happens to have an extra 30% or so width vs. comparing it to a 30" or 34" 16:9.

Good deal. This is the lowest I've seen other than crazy deals involving credit card price protection, cash back sites and liquidating a Dell GC. That's how I got mine. My net was just under $400, but that also involved some work. And that hasn't been possible in a long while anyway.

Amazon daily deal and Cyber Monday has Dell U3415W Ultrawide monitor for $499

Resolution is 3440x1440 60Hz 21:9. Curve is 3800R (not a lot of curve).

There's a newer model, U3417W, that's better in most areas, but can't beat this price.

From Amazon:
* Discover one of the world's first 34 inch 21:9 curved monitors with a panoramic view, cinematic WQHD resolution and superb sound.
* Ultra-wide curved screen that offers more display area and enhanced viewing comfort
* Unrivaled usability: Navigate across multiple applications and video inputs with Picture by Picture and Picture in Picture features.
* 3-year Limited Hardware Warranty and 3-year Advanced Exchange Service and the Firmware Update Utility Software; Compatible for windows and mac.
* 1 HDMI(vr2.0) connector; USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Hub (with 2 USB upstream port and 4 USB downstream ports); Speakers (9W x 2= 18W)
* Dimensions with stand (LxWxH) : 32.47 x 8.5 x 20.62 inches Dimensions without stand (LxWxH) : 32.47 x 3.00 x 14.65 inches

What do you mean by regular? Remember that this is the 2015 model. $500 is much more than almost anything besides newer 1440p ultrawides and gsync monitors.

Its easy to forgive that its almost 3 years old now being that it's specs are so stellar even still. At $500 plus 5% CB with Discover it seems like a great deal to me! Just ordered the 34" LG UW 1080p and considering cancelling for this one. I purchased this last year at $700 and returned it because it was just a little too pricey for what I needed. I think this monitor is now hitting the sweet spot.

Do it. 1080p at this size is a bad idea!

Not when you're driving it with an antique GTX460 vid card... the 1080 will barely make it's 75hz. Still tempting...

I have this monitor at work and its AMAZING. I've been waiting for it to come down so I can replace my 3 monitors at home (19", 24"wide, 19"). I may have to pull the trigger now.

Anyone know how it compares to the 'new' model?

i have had this for 17 months and paid $699 on a deal. I love it. I use it 8-10hrs a day for work. I replaced two 23" monitors with it. I'd love to have TWO of these but that seems a little much.

3800R is too "flat". 1900R is OK. 1500R is the latest. I wish 1200R or less because i work about 2 feet (~600 mm) from the screen.

The new model has a more intense curve, slightly smaller bezels, physical buttons, and a slightly better built stand. Picture wise almost exactly the same except the newer models are suppose to fix alot of the backlight bleed. Speakers are better though on the new model.

Pull the trigger, at $500 it's a great deal.
