Hi, this is my first time posting. I have no idea what I'm doing. Make sure to go to Dell Home via Slickdeals to get the tiered rebate.

Bought this a few months back and put a 512GB m2 ssd in it and installed Linux. If you want to keep Windows 10 you have to do a full re-install because Windows is using the 32GB drive as some sort of cache and will not boot any other way.

So can I safely say this laptop will last for 5-6 years? Because my last xps laptop with excellent build quality lasted for 3 years and then the keypad didn't work, hard drive failed, Battery don last even 2 years.. XPS is over hyped crap

Savefifteen ended a few hours ago. 50off699 still works to bring it down to 1,049.99. So still potentially a good deal for people not paying tax

How is this not more popular? I realize it's a 7th gen core i5 processor with only 8GB of RAM and small harddrives. That said, this is the newest i5 processor available on the 15, is still under $1k (most others are nearly $500 more) and both the ram and hard drive are upgradable down the road. What am I missing?
