This seems to be the standard price lately, is it worth the price? Hold up well in rain? Any better quality than Ozark Trail? So many questions..

I got one June 2014 for $44.99 at AMZ and have used several times per season. A pretty basic tent but has held up well in light use. Kids with shoes, 45# dog, etc. and still no tears or leaks (or busted zippers!) Seems to seal up pretty well against rain and Brainerd, MN mosquitoes. The spikes are garbage but I think all cheapo ones are. I don't have experience with the Ozarks but from reading comps between them they seem of similar quality.

I checked my AMZ purchases and found I bought this model December 2009. I've used it probably 40 plus times over the years with Cub/Boy Scouts. It has held up well. Only leaks I recall the first years were because of blowing rain or snow. Much costlier tents leaked then also. About four years ago I used sealer on the seams because I bought a smaller version tent and sealed them both at the same time. It is easy to put up. I can't compare it to the Ozark models because I have no experience. Two person with gear tent.

Edit: Just to be clear the one I bought now says there is a newer model of the tent and links to the one being discussed here..

I've had these Coleman tents for around 8 years and am completely satisfied. Been camping in strong southwestern winds, snow, rain and still going strong. But strongly recommend seam sealing. And yeah as previously noted, the wire spikes are throwaways - get some long nails at HomeDepot or Lowes for 50 cents each

We bought this 4 person tent a couple of years ago and it's been great so far. We've only taken it on three 2-night camping trips but it's quick and easy to put up and hasn't leaked yet. We did seal it before we ever started using it so I can't say how much that helped. It always rains at least one day when we go camping so the fact that we've never gotten wet is pretty good as far as I'm concerned.

It's a 4 person tent so expect to comfortably fit two people. My wife and I share a queen size air mattress and there isn't room for much else in there. We are looking to upgrade to something just a little bigger so we can more easily get a large fan in there. Right now we have to set it on the foot of the bed.

Just purchased 3 more for my scout troop. They hold up well for 8-10 campouts per year with a bunch of teenagers. Great on a budget and we've had them in all kinds of weather.

If your new to camping I seriously recommend spraying any tent with water proofing at the beginning of each season

Had this for years, has held up great, not a drop leaking in, even in some rough weather. Holds 4 pretty tightly or 3 with gear.

I am not much of a camper (or at all really) but I am very pleased with purchasing this tent for a school camp out trip. Was very easy to set up. I did a trial run at home before leaving to check parts and work out "kinks" in my process. Took me about 30 minutes the first time to put up, when I set it up at camp took about 15. Based on other reviews, I did do a coating of the water proofing spray on the seams, however we didn't have rain on our trip so not sure if that was necessary or useful. Only 1 negative (note 4 instead of 5 star) the support poles for the canopy had broken elastic upon arrival, however I was able to just cut the elastic (to get it out of the way) and put the pole pieces together and it worked like a champ. Even though it worked, I feel I have to knock 1 star off for having "broken" pieces on a brand new item. The tent comes with information to contact for replacement parts, but I haven't gotten to that part yet #momlife Smilie. If i do I will update my review with how that process went. I like the bag it comes in - there is a pull strip that you can remove that makes the bag open a bit further for easier re-packing I appreciated that detail. Overall very happy with my purchase and would recommend.
