I prefer the old school gas model myself, but good deal none the less.

I use this with a 20 lb propane tank. Heats up fast even on the lowest setting. I bought it as a hurricane stove, but have used it often since to give my grill a break and to keep smelly foods from lingering in the house for hours.

I bought it for $40 then so this is an awesome deal.

How can you convert this to use the Rhino tank at Walmart?

FYI: these do not work as well as the gas version in cold climates.

FYI, it is not easy to maintain a low heat on these. There's a rubbery feel to the dial, and when you try to keep the flame on a lower setting, the dial kinda springs back and turns the flame back higher. Instead of trying to turn it lower, I ended up just taking the pan off the flame. It's not a huge deal when the other burner is not in use, but when you've got two items on the stove, it's a nuisance.

Apart from that, it's easy to transport, easy to clean, and gets nice and hot when you need it. Still, the way the dial behaves is annoying enough to me that I'd shop around for a different one if I had to do it again. Some other reviewers mentioned the same thing, but I figured I was a good enough cook that it wouldn't matter. Doesn't matter how good of a cook you are - it's just really frustrating not being able to control the flame like I want.

Do yourself a favor and get your tank refilled instead of exchanging. Costs 1/2 the price (or less), and by some reports you get more gas in the tank.

How do you connect it to the propane tank? I have this same Coleman model but don't have an adaptor for the tiny tank outlet this stove has.
