$40 bucks off, barely a scratch off it's price. Better than nothing.

I'm not going to be ridiculous. I really was expecting like $660 or so

It appears that this thing runs very hot out of the box so don't expect to overclock it much unless you like sitting next to a jet engine.

Waiting a few month for the new nvidia chips. Should push down the price of this model a bit.

If only Newegg Business $50 off $500 code could be used here. Free game prevents it

Not a great card and tax, a slightly more expensive card from tax free sites is still a better deal.

In for 1. Newegg only charged $660. Not sure why.

So would it be better to buy this, or shell out 40$ more and get the evga sc2 on amazon?

Since when is MSRP a slick deal? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know about miners causing a distortion in the graphics card market, and about how ridiculously high memory prices is effecting it too. But if this is the best e-tailers can do for Black Friday/Cyber Monday it sucks, IMO.

The EVGA 1080 ti FTW3 for $700 + 100 gift card newegg had a few weeks ago, now that was a slick deal worthy of a Cyber Monday.

When it comes to performance out of the box, all custom 1080 ti's are the same. The EVGA SC2 may be a tad better for thermals/sound
.
