I literally just bought this last month for $49.99 on Amazon.
Luckily I have Citicard and can use thier Price Rewind to credit back the difference - although I had to manually submit the claim, because the automatic system hadn't yet found this deal (which happens more than I'd prefer).
Thanks for posting.

If u look at the list that I referenced, it looks like only a handful of arris models will get to 300 with Wow. I'm using the rental arris form them right now.

I have 200MB Blast with Xfinity and been using the CM500 with well over 200MB speeds. Last test was like 225. I bet your experience would be similar.

I'll mention what I said the last time these were on sale. I bought one a few months ago when Wal-Mart was clearing them out for $25 to replace an 8x4 TP-Link modem. I ended up going back to the TP-Link after a couple of weeks because this modem has a tendency to overheat. The hotter it gets, the more lag spikes and packet loss I experienced.

Any routers you guys suggest as right now my Netgear, Asus and Belkins routers are NOT giving me the suggested speeds of 300mbps.. The modem with a wire is giving the right speed.. but not the router

Comparable. Same chipset - Broadcom - which is good. Some 6183s have had overheating issues, which I haven't heard about the CM500.
