Alternatively, it is $140 at Amazon but if you order through Alexa there is a $20 discount to bring the total to $120. Say something like "Alexa order Philips Hue white and color starter kit".

Much better red, blue, and green colors. And they are also a bit more brighter, I think.

New to using Alexa. Can you order using Alexa on Amazon app? I'm not near my Alexa. I've tried and it didn't work.

I think that's where I'm going wrong; I'm fairly sure that you could do so very recently, but it appears that it has to be an actual Echo device according to the footnotes now:

"Offers only apply to products purchased from Amazon.com using Alexa voice shopping on an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Amazon Tap, Amazon Dash Wand with Alexa, Amazon Fire TV, or compatible Fire tablet device."

That's the one u want - 3rd generation. The one with 4 bulbs is 2nd generation. The colors are MUCH better now. The hub hasn't changed.

I think you have that the wrong way around - the current kit listed on the Philips Hue website is the 4 bulb one: http://www2.meethue.com/en-us/p/h...6677471965
