Monoprice has the 7 channel version of their highly rated amp on sale right now @10% off for $1349+shipping.

This is not the best price we have seen on this amp so far (best deal was 20% off back in June 2016) however, since this amplifier rarely ever goes on sale some people might want to jump on it.

I have been waiting for this, but I have been waiting for it @ 20% off.

I don't really want to wait another 6 months, though. Any other add-ons for free shipping, etc?

In the end it's only $150 off at the moment. And $110 for shipping.

I'm actually going to just bite and here's why...

The ONLY time this thing went on sale at 20% OFF was June 2016, so we're talking 18 months already. I don't believe we're ever going to see a 20% promo on the Monolith 7 until they clear out inventory for a subsequent release of the Monolith 7 successor. But considering we're talking ATI-made amplifiers, that could literally be 5-10 years from now, and even then, we're not seeing massive inventory sitting around because ATI is manufacturing these things less than 50 miles away from Monoprice. Maybe we'll see a digital class D variant coming out sooner, but that would likely be an entirely new product and not a replacement of the Monolith 7.

Considering the high value proposition the Monolith 7 presents at full MSRP, Monoprice knows they have no real competition and therefore don't need to discount it further. The 10% cyber Monday is just them tossing a bone to folks they know have been waiting for months. They ran the 20% promo right before or right around the time that most AV Enthusiasts websites were giving accolades and product of-the-year awards, and since this was Monoprice's first real foray into high end home audio (now including speakers and subwoofers), they had an incentive to get the Monolith 7 out to as many people as possible to prove themselves. Now that it's been a couple of years, Monoprice knows that AV consumers actually want their Monolith 7, they really have no incentive to discount it. All other variants (Monolith 2-5) are not the ones winning the awards and present a significantly reduced value proposition which is why we see the 20% + free shipping promos regularly. Indeed, if you're only looking for a five channel, the Outlaw 5000 presents an AMAZING value that provides probably 80-90% of the real-world performance of the Monolith 5 for half the cost (hence, why we see the 20% promo popping up every two weeks on that amplifier).

So for those waiting, I'd says don't hold your breath. I've been waiting for about a year, but it's probably not going to happen. If you want to save a little dough on a 7-channel, I would say to actually take a look at the Outlaw 7140. It's also made my ATI and should have a very similar sonic signature as the Monolith 7 / Outlaw 7700. If you're running a set of 8-ohm, efficient speakers (92+ dB) like, then you really don't need 200 watts per channel. The 7 channels at 140 watts (all-driven) will give you all the power you need in 98% of all circumstances. Do the math and you'll see that the extra wattage provides a marginal increase in dB output. And even then, you shouldn't be blasting your music that loudly for the sake of your ears. The 7140 weighs quite a bit less (won't break your AV stand) and has balanced inputs should you ever want to take your system to the next level of audiophilia. Price is $1150 shipped.

If I wasn't running 7 channels of 4-ohm speakers with 88 dB efficiency, I would have gone the Outlaw 7140 route, but my speakers are way too power-hungry and inefficient. I'm also trying to fill a 5,000+ cubic foot living room so the added output is required.

Does anyone know if this ever has free shipping available? I don't know of them having shipping coupon codes, but that would almost be equivalent to this sale.
