Its back but they jacked the price back up to 477.99, probably because Target is sold out. Missed out out this morning my mistake don't see anyone else with a deal.

Just ordered one from target an hour ago.

The silver one appeared to be back in stock currently on the website.

" Shipping to 90505 only 1 left in stock - free standard shipping with REDcard"

You may need to hit the refresh button a few times.

Good luck.

Yes. A few hours ago....

Received confirmation email.

Perhaps there are no more left now.

Just now, I was able to refresh to show availability, but it would not allow me to add it to the cart.

That's totally misleading. Its true, Samsung doesn't update their tablets much -- they sell them to consumers with the configurations that are spec'd -- but they do update them at least once or twice. I've never seen more than twice, personally. But considering product shelf-lives, it makes sense from a business and consumer perspective. Just root your device if its so old you are desperate for a new feature.

Second, Amazon Fire Tablet is incredibly crippled at can't even do what all other Android tablets can do. So it doesn't matter how much Amazon updates it, they'll always be worse than a Samsung. If the only thing you want is an advertisement for Amazon, then by all means, go with a Fire Tablet. PRICE-WISE its the best value, because it basically funnels you into Amazon shopping and limits what you can do on the tablets. They're even making it impossible to root some of the newer tablets. Not to mention, one of the key features of the S3 is the screen, the capability, the S-pen which is artist-level quality, not just point and click. The Fire tablets are disposable junk with low resolution.

If you got the Tab S3 at this price, you got a good deal on a fantastic device.

Please, tell me more abour "root", not going to pay $500+ for a tablet to mess with it to make it work. As a matter of fact just go outside and ask 100 random persons about the meaning of it "root" and I promise they will stare at you like "wtf".

I am not advising someone to buy Ipad or Fire tablet over Samsung's, at the end its your money. I was talking from my own experience, I have had 2 Samsung Tablets and 0 software updates, again, I dont care about Nougats or Oreo updates, but what I care is OS monthly security patches.
I will be honest, Samsung's premium phones tend to get good software support at least for couple years.

Here is my experience:

Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 with Amoled Quad HD screen, premium line, year 2014, most beautiful display I had seen in years back then, paid $300+ , received zero software updates and got stuck in Kit Kat, zero security patches, was very hard to find a stable rom, all of them have some issues, some with fast battery drain, some wifi..etc

And you are telling me "My information is misleading"?
