Do you have to use a separate app or does it sync with Apple's Health app?

I've been using this scale for about two months now.

The scale itself is nice construction quality; it feels sturdy and well built. As far as the accuracy of the readings, that's somewhat questionable. I don't have a lot of confidence that it's giving me accurate readings on really anything though. I think the weight displayed may be off by up to 2-3 lbs based on weighing myself at home vs the doctors office. I think all the other fancy readings are mostly bogus. My brother and father are fairly fit, skinny, and muscular but the app deems them as "chubby" which is pretty far off. The app is also pretty ghetto in terms of UI. It works well, I have not had any issues with syncing data or using the app, but its just pretty far behind in terms of UI. It does sync with Apple Healh through the app if you allow it to.

Bought this on full price last week. Amazing scale for the price and the scale is very consistent. Love that it had an app that can be used to track measurements.

One of the reviewers mentioned the need to calibrate the scale before using it. Did you do this step before using it? Debating whether I should buy it or not..

FWIW, doctor's scales can be terribly "mis-calibrated". Think about all the little kids that play with them while you're sitting in the room waiting for the doctor to show up. I never put much too much faith in them laugh out loud

Edit: Also looks like you can add 2 year protection plan for $1. That sold me, in for one. TY OP, Repd!

Looked at the Android app comments on the Play store - that was enough to scare me off. Maybe the IOS version is better.

I saw that comment as well after I thought I was having problems with mine, however I did nit find anything in the instructions or in the app that would help calibrate.
