Netgear Nighthawk AC1750 at Amazon cyber Monday [amazon.com]

I believe this is $10 cheaper than last FP deal.

I know this isn't the really fast higher speed model, but I'm in it more for the range over my current n Router and this is a really good price for this level router.

I can't decide between these two. The speed increase sounds nice, but the 90 day warranty worries me. Range is what I need more of, and these should have the same range, yeah?

Put me also in the same question lol.

I'm debating between this AC1750 R6700 or AC1900 R7000 but don't want to spend more money... yet want a new one...

supposedly the r7000 has slightly better speeds on N.

do i think youll notice the speed, probably not.

the r7000 supposedly gets hotter, but i havent experienced this.

my brother uses the r7000 with stock firmware.

i use the r6700 with kong.

both of us have had good user experiences. also there is an extra usb on the r7000 i think, and i believe the r6700 usb is on the front instead of the back...

all in all i think youll be fine with either, just if you get the refurb make sure to test it extensively so you dont get a failure outside the 90 days

There's a few things I won't ever buy preowned or refurbished, and networking gear is one of them. I'm not sure what it is, but I've bought 3 different refurb'd routers and modems over the past few years and each one has had issues within a few months. My guess is previous owners kept them in locations with little to no air flow and internal components overheated, effectively bringing about their death years sooner. Just my two cents.

Same experience with two Linksys refurbished and one dlink refurbished. My time is not worth debugging and troubleshooting refurbished routers.
