Just bought one - but didn't realize these expire Frown Expires 12/2018. I did see a note (during checkout) where it says your recipient has 52 weeks to claim their gift card, but no mention there would be an expiration date. Not too happy about this as I don't go to Rubio's that often. I guess they'll be seeing more of me for fish taco Tuesdays.

Interesting, I know many states ban expiration dates on gift cards.

That's true. But the Rubio's gift card is very strange - when you purchase it, it comes out like a prepaid credit card. It has a 16 digit number, expiration date, and 3 digit code. I felt a bit awkward today when I was there - cashier had to ask their manager what to do with it (newbies didn't seem to know). They gave me back my paper printout and asked me to manually enter in the info on the keypad (same keypad where you'd normally swipe a CC). I stood there, punched in the 16 digit code, expiration date, and security code. LOL. Not a terrible thing, but this is very strange. Still, nice to have 20% savings on top of Fish Taco Tuesday.
