BHPhotoVideo has it for 275 with no tax in most states but still hesitate to pull the trigger for the bad camera.

To those of you who have taken the time to research it, or if anyone here has owned both phones, is the camera on the G5S Plus actually not as good as the camera on the regular G5 Plus?

And, as I assume, is battery life about the same on the two phones?

And would it be worth it to spend more money to get a G5S Plus over a G5 Plus? If so, why/why not?

A helpful response would definitely appreciated!

It's for the same price without $20 discount on motorola website. I would just buy it directly from them.

You'd rather not save $20? Okay.

I'm in Cali so bhphoto is a better deal for me, save a few bucks on taxes..

I found this article and the summary is if you are on a tight budget, then the extra money for the bigger screen and better metal construction is not worth it.

I've been a long time G series phone user (original G, 3rd edition G, now G5+) and honestly don't buy them because of the camera. They're serviceable but never really that good. The biggest issue with the G5 is the lack of stabilization--video is jumpy and I can never get a nice sharp image in photos. Low light performance is not great either. For my needs it's fine but if you're coming from a phone with a good camera you will definitely notice a drop in quality.

I haven't clicked the link and checked out that article yet, but I wanted to say thank you very much for taking the time to reply and share that link. I appreciate it!

I have T-Mobile service, so I either need to get a T-Mobile phone or an unlocked device. I have become a pretty big fan of the Moto devices, and I want to get my daughter a decent phone, with good battery life and a good camera, so that's why I'm considering these two phones. Also, something that is around/under $200 to $250, as cost is a concern.

I miss Nexus6 Frown For $200 it was the best bang for the buck.

I jumped in with G5 64GB and thought its not worth the extra money for G5S
