Staples has the Dell UltraSharp U2412M at $149.99 - 24" IPS monitor

https://www.staples.com/Dell-Ultr...uct_486635

If you qualify for Visa Checkout you could bring the price down to $124.99

I really like the fact that the monitor is 16x10 (1920x1200). The extra height is great for many applications. Also has excellent stand that allows to adjust tilt, swivel and rotation (use in portrait mode).

In 4 one. Used Visa Checkout! Thanks!
Note there's no HDMI, just DVI and Display port (and VGA).
Looks like an adapter will be needed. Hopefully DVI to HDMI will work.
Also, sounds like the Dell monitor management software won't work with this monitor and Win 10.
Picking it up now.

You are correct about the lack of HDMI. I plan to use Display Port to Mini DP cable for my notebook. In another Dell monitor I have used successfully DVI to HDMI in the past

Is this better deal than Dell 27 inch monitor that Staples sold on BF?

Bought two of these a few months ago for the same price and love them. So glad these are the 1920x1200 resolution.

This model came out 6.5 years ago. Wish I could sell all the 5+ year old tech in my house for top dollar. Maybe if I slap a Dell label on them all...

Instead of complaining perhaps you could offer a better suggestion for people who want 1920x1200 without spending big $$, assuming you can live without HDMI. This is the cheapest I've seen for a new monitor at that resolution. TU from me.

I agree. I understand the utility of the extra 120 pixels (1080 vs 1200), but this is still too much for a really old monitor. You can get a Ultrawide 29" or 27" 1440p IPS display for a little more.

When it came out in 2011, it was $400. I bought 3 in 2014 for $240 each. I bought one exactly a year ago for $150 (the same Staples deal). So, the price has dropped more than 60% since release. Hardly top dollar.

I'm typing this on a desktop that has 4 of these monitors, all rotated into portrait mode.
