Oh man, I'm still on the fence. Hoping that $29.99 for a physical copy BF deal that Walmart and Amazon lightning deal had comes back.

If this was $29.99 I'd pull the trigger.

I'm in the exact same boat! I don't know why 30->40 is such a huge barrier, but it is.

For anyone who owns this game, does it offer enough replayability to justify a digital purchase over physical?

It depends what your play style is. There are many things to unlock in game, such as, new weapons, artwork, soundtracks, etc. If you want a gold trophy on every level, as well. Now, if you are the type to want to get this done in one play through, then not much replay ability there. If you want to beat the game first, then go back to unlock everything, then sure, lots of replay there.

I'm really encouraged to see that this is even going on sale. I don't have the cash for it this time around, but hopefully this means Switch games like this will go on sale each time there is a sale season similar to Steam. I'll be interested to see if top tier games like Mario Odyssey ever go on sale in the years after release given Nintendo's history of never reducing prices.

Mario + Rabbids is an Ubisoft title so it's 3rd party, hence the sale. Nintendo's own IPs rarely go on sale which is lame.

if you like tactical RPGs,id say yes... its so damn fun, most underappreciated game on the Switch...Its old school in a sense that you have to unlock everything through the campaign, the multiplayer and other modes/features, characters, ect... by the time you beat the game (40-50 hours for me) you have things that will let you go back to the worlds in areas you couldnt before, and they added co-op and such, its seriously, an amazing game with a lot of character, style, and simply put fun !

Agreed. But makes a big difference when you're buying more than one game over time

Won't help now but if you have a citi card you can buy from amazon on the day of the sale (Black Friday or whenever) and then price rewind it to get the sale price (even if it's not in stock). An added benefit is you can go for a third-party seller and avoid the tax depending on where you live.

Nintendo pricing is about the only thing that convinces me to jump in day 1 though. It's gotten super difficult to justify day 1 anything since i know it's going to be $15 in 6 months. Retail it holds value well so I don't have to be rushed into completion.

My son just told me he wanted this game for Christmas this morning. I'm thinking about grabbing a couple of $20 dollar Nintendo GCs at Dollar General for 15% off and using them on this. That would make this $34.15.
