Just a short review about gaming and heating:

I played league of legends. When I do not run anything, the maximum cpu core temperature is 56 degree celsius. When I played lol, the temperature reached 71 degrees and I could feel it is pretty hot. I was getting fps ranging from 30 to 44. Not too bad.

As long as temperature stays below 80 C, I dont think there is much to worry. But you need to place it on a tough surface like table to allow air circulation. I changed the maximum core state to 99% from 100% and updated the bios and firmware. I havent observed temperature after that. I will play another game tonight to see how it goes. I will post after that.

I just wanted to help people considering to use it for gaming. I dont think it would be ideal for gaming. Instead, buy a proper gaming laptop like dell inspiron 7000 series with nvidia GPU.

no way, i get 40fps on lol on best settings and 100fps in performance settings.
I play lol on a 3 year old dell inspiron, a single i5-4200u(hd620), no dedicated graphics, 8 gb ram, swapped out old hdd for samsung ssd 850evo.

How? this cpu has uhd620, right? how does it go only 40fps with LoL?

I didn play in high performance setting because of the heating issue. I double checked, it's between 30 to 40 fps. I get 30 fps even on my macbook pro 2015. On eluktroniks with nvidia 1050ti I get 150+ fps

this thing ticks off a lot of boxes though:

- quad core
- 13.3 (some might look for 15.4)
- 1080p
- 256gb ssd
- touchscreen (optional)

only one not confirmed is if it has backlit kb or not
