Stockpile (gift card for investing) Packages w/NO Fees + FS $157.1

TLDNR: Stock investment gift card packs without activation fee, no commission on 1st buy, & investment startup book gift package aimed at younger people. You still pay face value on the gift card. Don't TD just because you're expecting a gift card for less than face value, this is NOT an AMEX/Visa gift card type of thing.

Not an out of this world deal, but nice stocking stuffer for younger people without the extra fees. Makes the first step into the world of investing as simple as can be and gives them a physical card.

I suggest the Holiday 6-Pack for $157.10 with code CYBERMONDAY. (all the other packages are = face value + $8-$10 more for the book)
You get 6x$25 gift cards for various stocks + investing startup book
**AGAIN: the point of this "deal" is that this amounts to face value gift cards + book with NO activation fees or commission on the first stock purchase. This is NOT like those AMEX/Visa gift cards! This is meant purely as a physical gift to get people to invest without hurting you too much.

Otherwise, if you don't want the book it seems like most things over $150 trigger the largest discount for non-package deals. But you do pay extra ($3.63) and I think the book seems interesting to buy over a fee.

READ:
  • You DON'T have to buy the stock printed on the card, you can pick any of their stocks.
  • You can exchange the card for another at various stores (non-investing gift cards).
Extra Info:
  • Buying/selling stocks costs $0.99 each way. This can be paid with the money on the card.*** The first BUY is free for the user.
  • Their app gives some simple graphs (daily/weekly/monthly/year/all time).
  • App also has some news clips to give an idea of what's going on with the company.
  • You can link a bank account and ACH funds in/out for free.

never heard of this site before...

if this is legit, couldn't you just buy as many cards as you want at 15% off then sell all of them and keep the profit even if there's a 99 cent transaction fee to sell?

nevermind, this costs at minimum with the cyber monday deal $26 per $25 card.

They're actually very interesting. I came across it in those credit cards points stores. I had an old bank credit card with points that I could either spend on a toaster or $300 worth of stockpile gift cards. Went with the stockpile cards, played with it & have actually profited Applause (YMMV on that part)

Re-read the post, please. The packages are "15% off" but that 15% amounts to the regular activation + commission fees. You still pay face value on the cards themselves. If you don't like the whole investing thing, you can exchange it for another gift card outside of Stockpile. Or wait a while, link your bank account, and ACH the money back into your checking account.

The reason I posted this was because activation/commission fees normally suck when each buy/sell costs. Plus it's nice to get younger people to think about investing (in general, not just stocks).

Set two accounts up for my daughters earlier this year. Seems easy enough, you can buy fractional shares of nearly any stock. I'm trying to get the grandparents to put money into a fund like this instead of buying junk gifts.

Just bought a 6 pack for gifts for nieces and nephews.

Yeah I'm getting tired of the perfume / fart horn gag gifts. I got the 6 pack for my little sister & cousins.
