Can anyone comment on whether the 1000 is worth it if you just use a regular toothbrush?

I think any electric toothbrush beats a regular toothbrush by a lot

I see this posted by someone else now.....but I swear I checked when I posted this and didn't see anything that wasn't expired.

EEK!

Can anyone comment on the Black 1000 vs Pro 1000? Is it just a marketing thing?

Same brush just different color. I got the white one to compare with my older Sonicare. Eh, this Oral B isnt much to look at. The all white is just so plain and blah. I think if I had a do-over I would pick the black one just because the two tone color scheme makes it look less cheap and ugly. I haven't been able to use it yet since the crap nimh batteries in these take an entire day to charge. Brush was dead out of the box, not even a hint of a charge. I hope it brushes better than it looks or holds a charge.

Why lots of thumbs up and comments on amazon thread compared to this walmart thread, though the price is cheaper after rebate. Is there any difference in the product
