Here is the comparison between i5-4570 vs i7-2600

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/comp...1896&cmp=1

I use a i7-2600 as a daily driver, but I bought Lenovo with i5-2500 machine when I needed an office word processing type machine in May, 2016 for $180 (Lenovo Desktop Computer ThinkCentre M91P SFF Intel Core i5 4 GB 320 GB HDD Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit) and it has been working really well after some RAM/SSD upgrades, still working everyday.

Generally, if you want to buy a refurb, generally you want to buy a new hard drive, clone it (Macrium Reflect Free), then do a clean install of OS, and then add as much RAM as you need.

Give it a good dusting and cleaning, clean out the fan best you can, make sure the Fan runs good and keep the CPU respectably cool (use Hardware Monitor software)

Give it a good test drive in the first 30 days, leave it on 24/7. If it survives 30 days you're generally good for a few more years.

what a joke, the i5-4570 in this refurb takes a dump all over those two processors.

I just bought an i7-2600 for same price.
Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p SFF Core i7 2600 3.40GHz, 8GB , 500GB HDD, Win 10 Pro

https://www.ebay.com/itm/172988582487

And an AMD r7 250 for $18. Should work. And 20% back so $180 total.

This is a nice newer gen 4 but what do I know, the i7-2600 is good for what I need. Minecraft and sims...

IMO this would be great but I only just started researching all this stuff. But it compares in speed to a brand new $500 desktop.

Very capable for just a office machine. Can even game at 1080p with a 1050ti low profile GPU.
