I've used the 6-inch blades in the smaller hackzall-style saws before. The 9-inch blades in this set are WAY too big though, you'll have very little control using them, and I wouldn't recommend it. This set has six 9-inch blades and ten 6-inch blades, so evaluate the deal accordingly.

If you have a friend with a full-sized reciprocating saw, I'm sure they would be thrilled to take the 9-inch blades off your hands -- the Torch ones are some of the best on the market.

Diablo makes good blades -- but for reciprocating saws, I definitely prefer the Milwaukee ones. The *only* advantage to that set is that it includes blades for wood, where the Milwaukee set in this thread is for *metal only*. As far as being a good deal though, it's more than 2x the cost on a per-blade basis.

If you want a combination pack that has blades for wood and metal, made by Milwaukee, this looks like a great deal (not quite as slick as the one in this thread, but much slicker than the Diablo you linked to):

Absolutely they're awesome too.

I use the axe blade in my hackzall for trimming branches doing yardwork. It's a beast.

Torch is a monster for metal cuts... Highly recommend.
