Nice. Please put price in title please. I chose the Fry's deal over this because Fry's does a price match if I find it cheaper within 30 days

I saw the fry's one. Figures they did this right when I decided to get either the 8700 or 8700k. The regular 8700 is above this in performance and I figure surely in the next few months some sale of it will be for $300 or so. Probably fairly soon the 8700k would go for $350 in a deal, i would think. So bottom line, this is the best price any will be, but performance is such a leap in 8th gen I'd probably feel it's worth it to pay the extra that one of those eventual deals will cost. I can't even build a pc for months, anyway, because I can't afford it. All I have bought so far is a psu. lol.

I'm in a similar boat, slowly building my PC. 8700 would take me too long to get the deals and prices I want. RAM is ridiculously expensive right now. Eyeing the GSkill 3200mhz DDR4s

do you know if gskill ripjaws v would all work in a z270 and z370 if it says z170 in the description? Newegg has 16gb of 3200 (or maybe 300, I forget) for $145, which si good for recent prices.

ps if anyone DOES want this 7700k, you can get it for $245 by using google express and that amex $20 back offer, as fry's sells through google express.

So if I am set on 8th gen, then it sucks I am passing up this cpu for $245 and no tax!

In fact.... you can get it even less on google express.

use code LETSBUY20 if it's your first ever google express purchase and you get $30 off. If you have the amex offer, $20 more off. So you pay only $215 + tax on the full $265 price.

So for me it would come out to $242 after all fees and discounts. They apparently charge tax, even though fry's doesn't. Otherwise it would be around $215 for me. But I have my mind set on generation 8. Frown

All those offers go well into december, but i doubt they will have deals on gen 8 by then.
