Needed some work lights and these look like a good deal. Normally $19.98. It's 50% off making it $9.98 ea. Lowe's coupons can make the deal better.

Do you realize your average 60 watt bulb is 750-800 lumens? Not sure how you can say 1000 lumens is too bright, I'd actually be more interested if it was closer to 2000.

I own a similar version, made by utilitech. These suckers are *BRIGHT*. Build quality is decent (def better than what you'd expect, even for $20). If you're in the market, don't hesitate. Lowes has easy returns if you don't like it.

My only gripe was the "S" hook that came with it. It's too wide and doesn't hold the light very steady. The solution is to wrap the power cord around the bar/board right before you hook it to the S.

To bright? I use four 500 watt halogens when painting in a single room.

I didn't buy theses tonight because they aren't that bright.

I want led to not have the heat but haven't found bright ones

I almost pulled the trigger until I read the reviews for the 1200 lumen version.
What does that mean?

Reviews were generally good but some stated that the light just stopped working after a couple of months.

probably nothing since there's no review listed for the 1000 Lumens. At least for me when i click the link.

As for the 700, there's 4.5 stars listed. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

The 700 lumen one is showing $19 for me. The 1000 lumen was $9. Maybe YMMV?
