GreenWorks Pro 80V 20-Inch Cordless Snow Thrower, 2Ah Battery & Charger Included

Bought one of these last year for $250. Worked great for our needs without having to deal with gas and cold starts. We have two batteries so we would swap out the battery and charge the one for lots of snowfall. All in all we were able to do our 80 ft driveway and the neighbors no problem.

We did however need to hand shovel the heavy salt laden snow pile at the end of the driveway created by the street plow.

My 10 year old son use it a lot and hit some uneven patches in sidewalk. So the auger blade has a bunch of wear. We will see how it holds up for one more season to see wether this is a piece that would need to be replaced regularly. Otherwise very pleased with the unit.

Bought this over Black Friday weekend for $255+tax from Amazon. On phone with them, they don't do Price Adjust, however, can offer a max of $50 discount, as my order is delayed shipment by UPS.

My option is to either take the $50, or cancel old order shipment at the shipper, and place a new one, and save $67. I chose to save an additional $17 Smilie

Requested cancel of Order, without any penalty as the order was still delayed with shipper. Will place the order again for the new price now.

Great deal. Gonna make the switch from corded to cordless this winter. It was annoying using long cords... Combined with the leaf blower deal and 4ah battery deal. Will have to sell the extra batteries I wont need...

Is this worth it for Michigan winters? Is it true that if you keep up on the snow, this will be plenty?

if you're thinking about extra batteries, you may want to check out this thread

https://slickdeals.net/f/10947775-greenworks-80v-580-cfm-brushless-backpack-blower-149-75-more-free-s-h?v=1

2.5ah battery + charger + backpack blower = 149

2.5ah battery alone is 79, charger is 39. so for $30 more you get a backpack blower

also 4ah battery is 127 which looks really good if you need one

Is it impossible to have metal blades that are light enough to run on these cordless blower? Just curious. I'd just rather have metal blades but be able to run just as long. Wink

i think the snow joe one for $209 has less plasticy auger. Rubber/steel though I can't really tell how much of it is rubber and how much it is steel

This is GARBAGE! I bought one a few years ago. I get no more than 12 minutes run time. For reference, I live in Utah.

Be careful with the 4 ah battery in the Snow Blower. The plastic cover does not close over the larger battery. Some people have moded the cover or just wrapped with a plastic bag.

Never used one but I can't imagine this thing is good enough for upper midwest winters. Especially wet and/or heavy snow. Unfortunately I don't think batteries can give us enough torque and runtime to move the 8 inches of snow that fell overnight.
