This is a generic design used by several manufacturers. I have 2 - this one from Office Depot which is made in China, and one from Sauder which is made in USA. Both are fiberboard, but the Sauder one is very sturdy and about 20 lbs heavier. This Office Depot one is lightweight and flimsy. Normal typing on the keyboard tray causes my monitor to wobble.

Unless you need a big desk for very cheap, I'd avoid this.

I have had this for about 2 years, great desk for this price. I think I paid like $120 when I got mine. This works well, I had some left over IKEA glass table top protector squares, two of them fit perfectly on the top and keep the surface free of scratches...it makes it easier to clean up without messing it up.

How does it look from the back? Can it be placed where the back would show?!

Also paid more for this desk and this is an absolute steal. Desk is a beast and looks good. Yes it can scratch a little.
