This appears to be a Pioneer DEH-S4000BT unit in a bundle.

Unsure if anyone is still following this...but picked it up yesterday and it is in matter of fact, a DEH-S4000BT. Labeled right on the unit.

The manual mentions a microphone - does it include one?

I believe the pioneer list price is for the head unit alone. This kid includes the 4 speakers.

I was looking for this setup (the previous version) a few weeks ago and it wasn't available anymore. Now that I've bought everything the new version is available. Ungh. Thumbs up anyway.

Walmart sells these kits every Christmas. Last year there were a bunch left over after Christmas at a bunch of different Walmarts selling them on Clearance for something like $30.

Here is a link to how it went down last year:

I picked up one of those for $19. That one does not have a CD player this one does.

How do the speakers sound? Anyone have experience with that aspect? Don't want to buy into a set of speakers that sound like crap.

Any non externally amplified system will sound okay but distort rather quickly at higher volumes give or take some with how you set the EQ up and if you push sound to the rear more than the front for the bass if your not using a low pass filter and a sub. The 6.5s won't handle bass as well as the 6x9s that's why I say push more power to the rears. I won't be able to give a more first handle option on the sound on the system as a package. I'm using the deck for a truck install tomorrow and the speakers in two different cars. Now if you want to add a tiny amp that will push the speakers harder giving them more power and better clarity I recommend the Alpine KTP-445U 4-channel Power Pack Amplifier. Make sure to get the U and not the A at the end. You'd wire it a little different than if you were just setting up the deck and need two sets of rca's but the sound difference from that little amp is amazing and well worth it in my opinion as a cheap yet very noticeable upgrade that you don't need to run power from the battery to the amp. They run around $120ish.
Honestly as long as your not expecting super loud clear music that doesn't rattle at mid to high volume then this will work out great. If you want to step it up a notch I'd wire in that amp at the same time just to save time and have a system that sounds easily 70x better than what you'd get without it.
Sorry for the long rant hope it helps though

Thank you I appreciate the response. I saw it a little late and already picked it up from the store. Just wired it and will install in the morning
