Modem router combo or separate

64 47 November 28, 2017 at 08:14 PM
Hello,

Moving into a 2600 sq ft home. Will be using Xfinity as my ISP.

There is a basement, main floor and up stairs. Any recommendations on how to set up for good range on this?

I've looked at the Netgear C6250 combo but I'm not sure how to hit all levels.

Separate do not do a combo you could always upgrade your router but you rarely update your Modem. Get yourself a docsis 3.1 Modem to start with. Then take a look at a whole-home WiFi system, or AC2300 or better router.
