hello, i seached the board and didn't see this posted.

link: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Co...bo.3683692

Seagate is offering heavily discounted copies of the new assassin's creed game with the 2TB Hybrid HDD notebook hard drive.

game basically comes out to $10-$14, depending on whether or not you have newegg premiere. you will eventually get a code to redeem on ubi's website. the code is for Origin, this is NOT a steam code. code can be redeemed here: www.assassinscreed.com/seagate

I think I paid about $80 - $85 for this drive and I'm happy with it (for PS4).
I do recommend the game though I've been playing it on a console, not on PC. The value of the PC games usually drop much faster than console discs.

Be aware that with a game "promo" like this, you need to redeem the code SOON because these promos usually expire pretty quickly (I missed out on a "free" game from AMD because I didn't redeem it soon enough). Once you redeem the code then you have the game permanently.

There are 2 1-star reviews on Newegg about the game, but it might be user confusion -- one says they couldn't find their code (it's usually just an item on the invoice, not a separate piece of paper or anything). The other user just hates the Ubisoft UPlay system and so gave it 1-star.

Note that you need a fairly powerful PC and Video Card to play this -- won't run at all on a laptop or low/mid-end PC.

the codes are on newegg's website. when you go to your account, there is a link that says digital library. any digital product you ever bought will be there. the codes are issued when all physical bundled items ship.

OOS (and price is showing $109.99 now), but you can get the drive itself for $95 from platinumicro via Newegg with no tax.

Not always. I just got screwed out of a copy of ACO because I assumed that. The code that Newegg gave me had to be used on a Asus site (thus creating one more useless login and password I don't need), and then Asus is supposed to give me the real code. Asus decided to end their promotion early, so no game for me. It's going to cost Asus more in the long run by treating me that way, so whatever floats their boat, I guess.

that's an asus issue, and asus did the same to me as well, back in 2014. another time they denied me a replacement for an IO shield that came deformed on a $400 motherboard, and demanded i pay $20, i ended up just returning the board. any other company would have sent me a free replacement no questions asked. asus are scum bags.

newegg did their part, unfortunately they can't control other variables.

the code issued in this deal has to be redeemed on ubisoft's website, which in turn gives you a uplay code.
