To maximize the durability (cycle count) of these nimh Cells, ideally ya'll don't want to use ANY of the included chargers, this also pertains to the Fast charger with individual channels.

The reason is, the fast charger is , a fast charger, fast charging is bad for batteries period.

You guys want a single channel charger with SLOW charging modes..

FAST CHARGING = BAD..

Paranoid ?, YES !!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The limit is 15 item claims total.. this is all 1x rebate.. within the 5 rebate per household limit..

5x 4 pack AA + smart charger ($5 AR)

5x 4 pack AA + regular dumb charger (FAR) sold out

5x 12 pack (4AAA + 8AA) + dumb charger + spacers ($15 AR)

15 claims maximum..

You can get 5x smart and 5x regular for a total of 40 AA cells and 5 dumb and 5 smart chargers for $125 with $100 rebate

The reason you want the 5x smart, is because the regular only comes with 2 channel chargers which MUST CHARGE 2 batteries at a time, and it can overcharge the batteries since it charges for a set duration without stopping when full, whereas the smart charger has 4 channel and can charge single batteries and will cut off when fully charged.

I would pay the extra $5 and get the one with the smarter charger, it does individual batteries instead of pairs.

Great deal, got 8 AA's and a smart charger for only $5 AR. Thanks for sharing!

Edit: decided there was no reason not to max out the rebate on the 4x AA .01c AR, so I went back and got three more of that item. What a deal!

Seems to be that one comes with a quick charger and the other one is a regular charger.

Does the $5 one come with batteries? Hard to tell if it comes with AA or AAA batteries included.
