I know, right? It's like the people who respond to questions on Amazon with "I don't know, I didn't buy this." You know you can just not answer the question, right?

I can't even fathom what's going on in their heads. I prefer to assume they're just stoned, so I can maintain my illusion that average intelligence is reasonably high. The other answers on lilgrubbybaby's profile do not lead me to believe they're stupid, so I have high hopes* for my "posting while blitzed" theory.

*pun not intended, but gladly accepted

Bigger is not always better. Mostly when you're trying to whisk an egg white or two. Not sure about the motor differences on the 7qt, but the AC motors are better than the DC ones regardless of wattage.

Decent deal for sure, but I've been contemplating picking up the KP26M1X, which does include the pouring shield, from BedBathandBeyond.com for $349.99 minus 20% coupon minus $70 rebate (which does apply to the KP but not the KL) minus 4% eb@tes. Assuming the 20% coupon applies, that's a much better deal. Plus you get the full gauntlet of colors to choose from.

I've had he same model for about 3 years now. Got it for $199 as a refurb.

It has worked well until recently (use it mainly for pizza dough). Now I'm having issues getting it adjusted properly (the bowl is a little too low, but the adjustment screw is already cranked as high as it can go).

I've been searching the web and I've sent 4 requests to Kitchenaid to get their solution and I haven't heard anything back from them.

Not sure if my issues are due to it being a refurbished unit, but it's pretty annoying.

Excellent deal. However, bigger is not always better. This buy is all subjective to your home use. I won't be baking 13 dozen cookies in my house of 3. For example, Sears.com *had* a "Pro 500" (5gal, 325W) for $199 with $40 back making it $159. A 5gal @325W is perfectly fine for a single family home.
