My wife and I have been on a couple of really nice ones - mind, both were 10 days each. I am sure big difference with the three and four day ones.

Couldn't pay me to go on another Carnival cruise again. Compared to the other lines, there is a reason it is the cheapest.

Depends on the ship and how long the sailing is. The short 3-4 days are party cruises. Taking a longer one and they are fine. FYI: Carnival is not the cheapest any more their rates have drastically increased. Check out MSC cruise lines.

It's hard to believe all the hate for Carnival. I've always had an amazing time on the 4 7 day cruises I was lucky enough to spend with them and Actually prefer their food, staff, and younger crowd to all the other lines except Holland America. They're pretty tough to beat and I've been on all the big lines except Princess. In fact, I didn't think you could really have a bad cruise, but I guess I've just been lucky!

I have been on 2 Carnival, new Vista and old Sunshine, and they are both fine.

One thing I like Carnival to do is have a international food on the buffet. Other ship have asian and indian food on the buffet, but not Carnival.

Yep, MSC and Holland America which is own by Carnival. Another name is Costa own by Carnival too.

And then there are the Oasis class which are expensive and of course Disney.

The title clearly states Carnival Cruise ....... but noo....you just had to dock to dump .

For first time cruisers or families with more than two it a very affordable way to see some other countries.

I've been multiple cruises with carnival and RC. The comments here are unwarranted. It's heavily ship dependent and not necessarily line dependent. Also depends on what you're wanting to do and the crowd and atmosphere you want to be around.

5 day cruise from Miami for 4 with 2 balcony rooms :

SUBTOTAL: $3,720.00
TAXES, FEES & PORT EXPENSES: Info $453.00
TOTAL: $4,173.00

Doesn't seem like a great deal. The "$1 upgrade" is not a class upgrade but where on the floor your room is. Plus, who cares if the "deposit" is cut to 50%? I don't necessarily look forward to cruising with groups that can't come up with the minimal $300 bucks for a deposit.
