Super slick. The impact and batteries alone go for 250 on Amazon.

How much does just the socket set go for? I would be all over this but i already have this impact and plenty of batteries. I need more sockets that work with this gun and dont just fall off the hog ring

Seems like around $120-130. There's one on eBay for $95.

Damn guess that really does make this a slickdeal then. Although i can never figure out why "impact" sockets have to be so expensive especially for only 3/8 drive set up to 3/4" size

This is a good deal. But the 3/8" impact wrench is not that powerful. Might get as good of results from your impact driver.

Homedepot has the same deal with the 1/2 impact wrench for $299... This has more power.

Basically you get the socket set for free, so a good deal but not ultra slick.

How does this compate to the Kobalt 3/8 impact wrench. That goes for about $89 plis the batteries are super cheap.

This is good if you are not planning to work on your car with it. I tried this version thinking it'll be more compact but not as hefty as the 1/2" impact. I was wrong...my WRX (like most Subaru's) are torqued down to 85-95 ft. lbs for the lug nuts and the 3/8" had hard time. Even simple 12mm in the engine bay wasn't coming off at times. The max torque of '150 ft. lbs.' is a sign where as the 1/2" impact wrench go up to 700 ft lbs with the DCF899B.

But with that said, for non-automotive application and smaller equipment the size feels really nice on the hands like the driver impact. If you're going to work on your car, get the 1/2" impact wrench with the high torque. You'll thank yourself later. Two batteries are nice...if you're working on it all day even then you'll realize you have plenty of juice with one battery.

Agreed. Don't forget a swivel joint adapter socket either! If you need more power without going the air tool route then look up hilit.

The DeWalt has slightly more power but batteries are far more expensive than kobalt. If you have power and an extension cord, then grab the kobalt 1/2" corded for much cheaper. honestly, you won't know the difference. neither 3/8 can break lug nuts let alone larger bolts

150 ft lbs? Not enough for some automotive work. I have a 140 ft lb brushless impact that struggles to remove lug nuts on a truck torqued to 120 ft lbs. I had to break out the breaker bar because it couldn't handle it.
