This is my first post....so hope it is ok. This is the cheapest I have seen this for. Last week, saw it for $229. Noticed it was $299 after that, but with a $70 coupon.......now today, saw it for $169.95 (Last month it was $179 though)

Thank you. Just what I was looking for my son. Reviews are pretty good and it's roughly on par with the 9800 series price, which is a step down.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but does anyone have any good recommendations for a beard trimmer? It's hard to find a truly good one (the market is flooded with them).

Thanks OP! I bought the Panasonic Arc5 a couple of weeks ago from the previous deal but haven't been overly impressed with it like a lot of other people. I just don't really like the fact that it's not contour so the blades don't flex to conform to your face, especially under jaw and on the neck area. Also, the trimmer is very short (something no one really mentioned) so it's very hard to maneuver around goatees. Thus, the Arc5 is probably going back as I'm gonna give this one a try. At least I know that the blades on this one flex to conform to my face and neck area since I've tried out a similar model that my friend has.

Does anyone know of any of these that are good for shaving bald heads? Using a safety razor is Hella time consuming sometimes

I can't say this from personal experience as I don't have a bald head to try on but I would imagine this type of shaver with 3 flexible rotary blades to conform to the shape of your head would be ideal.

Hey there.
But does the arc5 give you a close shave at your lip area and cheek?
I'm planning to get one from Amazon.

Others may say otherwise but to me it gave me a close shave pretty much just like any other shavers I've had. My main complaint about it is that it doesn't shave well under the cheek and neck area with each pass.
