Office Depot/Office Max.com [officedepot.com] has 27-Gallon Centrex Plastics Tough Box Storage Tote (30 15/16"x 20 5/16"x 14 9/16") on sale for $7. Free in-store pickup if stock permits.

Now the fun part is to have a 20% off coupon code that can further reduce the cost to $5.6 before tax.

I received an email this morning which titled " And the party don't stop" and includes a 20% coupon (online and in store).

I got the "And the party don't stop" email, but it has no 20% off coupon. Can you tell me the online coupon code to use? great find on the tote, thanks! +TU +REP

I have a few of these and the lids are terrible. My wife cracked the lid where it clips by just trying to open it. You are better off paying more or just getting ones that are even cheaper that have a latch lid.

I have several VERY similar one I got from Home Depot and have no problems with the lids. However I do remember a discussion a while back that one seemed "cheaper than the other".

The Menards and Lowe's near me sell these Centrex totes which appear at first glance to be identical. However, I was disappointed to find out that the Menards lids are brittle compared to the Lowe's ones. Worse yet, the length of the lid's dip is smaller than the Lowes' so a Lowes tote will not stack level on a Menards tote. I've found that if you hold a Menards lid up towards a light source you can see it but a Lowe's lid is too dense to see light through. Also the pattern on the Menards lid runs diagonal and the Lowe's one runs perpendicular. Menards' website pictures are misleading because the totes sold near me at least don't have lids like the ones pictured. I own 5 of the Menards totes and 25 of the Lowe's and none of the lids have broke yet. They just don't interstack with one another.

30 plastic totes? Wow. My mind is racing at the thoughts of what he's storing in those.

My guess is 43 years worth of "storing weekly" magazines.

I picked up four of them, seriously, I won't buy it again, it's pretty much identical to Costco's, but apparently Costco's heavier and more robust, I can feel it immediately when I get my hands on both of them. Office Depot's is thinner than Costco's.

When it's on sale at Costco, the price is $5.99 + tax, a little more expensive than $7 x 0.8 = $5.6 + tax but I think it's worth it.
