This is my first post, so forgive me for lacking skills. This is a pretty good deal ($200 off) for hurricane preparedness. Couldn't find a generator when I needed one a couple months ago.

30-amp RV-ready receptacle
224cc Champion OHV Engine
Runs nine hours on a 3.4-gal. tank of gas at 50% load

Keep in mind this only does 120V.

20A 120V and 30A 120V

Just making sure someone is not trying to run a 15A 240V AC unit or similar because this can't do that.

Here is a deal on a 240V one for those needing that.

$299. Duel fuel propane/gas. 4850W peak / 3850 continuous
(OP deal is 4375W peak / 3500W continuous for reference but about the same. Budget and need for duel fuel or 240V should be the deciding factors.)

What can this realistically run? Wondering if it's worth it for me

"Rooms" sounds like you are trying to backfed a panel (against code/law) or use a transfer switch. That is almost always using 240V (Phase A 120 receptacles in one Room and Phase B 120V receptacles in another Room).

This generator can not produce 240V.

The Duromax is a much better deal for most. You are getting dual fuel, 240 Volts if needed, a bit higher watts and ELECTRIC START for just an extra $35-40 bucks!(Cabelas adds tax dont forget) Although I do like the look of the champion more Smilie

I have both the duromax generator in the link and a bigger 10k. They work great. Always start right up. I have the bigger one hooked up to a 200 pound propane tank for the house. A plus is that the propane doesn't go bad like gas does.
