Reviewers say it is not good for below freezing temperatures. Not a great stand alone system for below 35F, but if used with a sleeping bag or blanket, it could help make the difference in avoiding hypothermia. They also say it is quieter than Mylar in order to sleep through the night.

Thanks OP, I bought a couple of these earlier (before you posted) and I thought they were a great buy!

If you don't need the nice carrying case and orange color, you can get this off Ebay for under $1 shipped. For the purpose (emergency use for camping/hiking/car), you don't need this fancy $5 item.

Where exactly? I searched eBay after I read your post and can't find anything like this close to $1

Good thinking, and now is the time to pick it up while $5 still seems cheap. Once you're homeless shipping is a hassle and $5 can be harder to come by!

Please explain self promotion ? I guess i'm sort of new to this, I don't get anything out of this. What is the point of this site if you cant share a good deal when you see one?

This looks the same as the SOL emergency sleeping bag bivvy to me.

Mylar inside, with polyethylene orange outside. You will sweat majorly.

This is not a sleeping bag, its an emergency sleeping bag/bivvy

The objective of this item is not to let you sleep through the night, the objective is to let you live through the night.

This is a good deal for what it is. I would get one if you live where it goes down to freezing or colder, and find yourself traveling more than an hour's walk from civilization.

Purely Imaginative Scenario: Good for if you go fishing in cold weather, fall in water, get soaked, build small fire, get in bag wait for rescue because your cell phone got soaked and your keys are at the bottom of the lake, but this was in your backpack which floated when the canoe flipped.
