The beginner kit is at $49.99 instead of $59.99. Review seems pretty good and this could be a good gift for children or adults

Kala in Hawaiian means "money" -- a cognate of "dollar" because there is no D or R in Hawaiian. kala-hawaiian-money-before-the-dollar [aboutmauinui.com]

Today I learned it also means "lady".

Says it comes with Aquila strings which I have found make a big difference. This is a nice deal. Although it's a soprano size which can be played by adults, is still pretty small. If you have big or fat hands you might want to start with concert size. I have small hands and started with a soprano, but I upgraded to a tenor size which has a "bigger" sound almost like a small acoustic guitar.
