Are these more popular than the fingerling things? I need something for my niece (5 year old) , but feel out of the loop.

I'm not sure, I don't have a membership there. Timing is everything with the hot items this year (every year...). I bought several colors of the fingerlings in August and the unicorns in September with absolutely no problem. Now people are fighting to get them and driving far distances to pick them up.
The hatchimals 12 pack has come back in stock several times at $40 and
$30, but whenever it comes in at $20 it only lasts a few minutes.

stupid crap that will all be collecting dust in 1.5 months.

and i say that as someone who used to by tmx elmo and sell for markups, but that was when u could make $100 net profit. what r people pulling in on fingerlings and these stupid things? hardly worth the time for $20-$40 a customer.

Both are popular. I have purchased both myself. If the child you are purchasing for likes Shopkins, they will love Hatchimals. I purchased the fingerlings because they are supposed to be the hot item this year, and so far none of my kids have asked for one, lol! Oh well, they are getting one anyway. Smilie

I am not sure on the resale side of things. I have purchased for gifts for my children. I resisted buying things like these and shopkins because I thought they were dumb little blobs of plastic, lol! However, my kids play with them, use them creatively and imaginatively, so they have been worth it. That is the only reason I am adding more items like this to their Christmas.

My 7-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter both love these things. Kind of small and gimmicky, but this is a great price. Normal retail is about $4 apiece.

hmm minutes. Looks like we have broken some kind of record now. How about we throw price in the title?
