I just clicked "get this reward" and then got an email. Then, I think if you click thru the email to target.com you should get the discount.

This $5 off $50 is almost always active on pretty much every cashback site.

And look at the list of exclusions! What can you even buy that qualifies?

Was just gonna say how is this any different than the $5 off $50 offers that have been on the coupon sites for years now?

You lose some (otherwise useless) Recyclebank points on a 0day offer. Remember when they had $5 eBay GCs? I do. Smilie

I don't but that might be because I was busy loading up on $10 off $50 codes to my local grocery store. That lasted several years and saved me hundreds.

This "reward" has been around on Recyclebank for years. I guess making it free today gives it an iota of excitement, but given that R-bank hasn't had many good rewards in a very long time, it's not that big a deal. I too remember when you could get gift cards.

It's easy enough to accumulate points. I have over 14,000 of them with little to spend them on. I occasionally get some of the magazine subs for 200-500 points but otherwise, having a ton of points doesn't seem to mean a whole lot.

Exactly, even the magazines are always the same. I stopped collecting points years ago. I only go there once in a while to check if some miracle happened and they have worthy rewards. Never happens. laugh out loud

I've bought those $5 off $50 rewards in the past and tried repeatedly to click on the link to get the $5 off to work to apply to my cart and never got it to work on any purchase. It's not a code you enter in a box at the end of checkout which would have made it so much easier. I even tried adding a variety of high cost items and nothing could ever get the coupon to apply. I tried emailing recyclebank for help and their response was "The only way to redeem this reward is to follow the link provided within the email received or from within the My Rewards area of your account. If you continue to receive an error, please let us know." Isn't that what I was doing(?!?) telling them I'm getting an error message and it's not working. Basically their only response is click the link.

Redrose, do you have a redcard? I emailed them and it's so restrictive it doesn't work with red card since that gives you a 5% discount.... that's why mine wouldn't work. So I guess I'd have to buy with gc or different credit card

I do have a red card but I don't remember if I tried selecting other payments as well. Thanks for the tip. I'd be curious if others are getting it to work.
