ViewSonic VX3211-2K-MHD 32" 16:9 SuperClear IPS Monitor

$280 at Office Depot.

This ViewSonic monitor seems better than 32" HP Omen blackfriday deal from costco.com, because it has built-in speakers, IPS (instead of WVA+) and also supports sRGB.

No freesync. And nope, WVA+ is way better than IPS for desktop viewing. IPS makes more sense for TVs but even then TV manufactures has been moving away from them.

Not everybody is a PC gamer who wants FreeSync, and "WVA+" is just a marketing term invented by HP -- doesn't actually mean anything or refer to any standard or display type.

Tired of gamers coming to every monitor thread and complaining about perfectly good general purpose monitors. Very few people game on their PCs.

It's perfectly fair to complain about it since it's an easy/free standard that makes it a more versatile monitor. But yes, this looks like it would be a great general purpose monitor.

Gamers actually know about pc hardware... WVA is a different panel technology than IPS... it is not just a marketing term.

Get a clue. Also, a lot of people game on PC's. Are you kidding me? Wow.

Only gamers actually know? I searched for "WVA+" and in 5 pages of results couldn't find anything that mentioned it in a context other than HP.

What percentage of PC users do you think actually game on them?

Well, what percentage of PC users do you think actually not game on them?

The Omen monitor is clealy better than this at every aspect. It was also selling for cheaper price. Stop bringing those BS gaming stuffs. Get a life sir.

Why so much butthurt?

According to this [dailydot.com], 63% do not.

The Omen may be better for some applications - i.e. games - but the PWM flickering is a big demerit.

Whatever you tired, the Omen went to FP with over 200 TUs. The monitor you are trying to defend is really a POS that nobody bothers to give any shit about it. Get a brain, sir.

I don't know but the industry in 2016 was 36 Billion dollars...

WVA is just like MVA, a hybrid of tn and ips panels that try to eliminate the weaknesses of both of those panels.
