Can I use this in conjunction with a standard Apple lightning cable to achieve fast charging? (when used with a high powered USB-C charger).

I have the USB C to USB C version of these cables and they are ok at best. you get what you pay for. The fit is flimsy and comes out easily.

So far in my testing, my Anker 4 port USB A wall charger is the only charger to push 1.65-1.7 amps at 5 watts to my 7+... Not even Macbook Pro 87w USB charger with adaptor will push over 1.35a. I have battery packs and chargers galore and that one Anker is the best... The other Anker only does 1.35, even though it's rated for 2.4, along with all the battery packs and car charger.

If you want something shorter, your Walmart may have a USB C to female USB 3.1 SS 6 inch for as low as a buck... http://brickseek.com/walmart-inve...=141482577 They perform speed wise too; nice quality.

Can I connect a USB lightning cable to the female end of this cable ? I bought an Anker 5 port with USB Type C. I am hoping that I can use this cable to connect to USB C and connect USB lightning cable to the other end to use Type C port for lightning cable charging ? (As of now, I dont have devices that I can use that USB Type C, hoping this cable would put some use for that port) ?
