Roku 4 is two years old. My local Walmart clearanced them out last year for $19.00 each. I personally don't like the Roku 4. It seems slower then even the 2016 or 2017 Roku sticks for some reason, even with Ethernet cable...

My Roku remote drains battery like there is no tomorrow. I change batteries every 5-6 days . Is there a fix to this issue ?

Do you leave the headphones plugged in the remote? I found that if I left the headphones plugged in the remote, it was continually transmitting even though I was not watching anything, and the batteries would be dead in a week.

It does that to my Fujitsu batteries, but not so much to my Amazon or Eneloops.
Also sometimes you don't realize it keeps pressing a button this happens a lot if you pause a video and then turn off the TV. I noticed it keeps communicating with remote for some reason when it's in pause.

Also there is a chance your roku is hacked, and someone is listening to you 24/7... draining your battery. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

There's no reason to buy this at this price. It's two years old. The Premiere+ (2016) and Stick+ (2017) both offer HDR, perform better, and can routinely be found around this price or cheaper.

This. I use headphones on the one in my bedroom to fall asleep to TV without waking up my wife (why I - and she - love Roku's), but it drains them like a sieve. I have to remember to pull them out of the remote as soon as I wake up during the night.

You could use the app. Then you don't have to deal w/ batteries.

open the cover and see if the green light is flashing constantly, if it is, its malfunctioning. call roku and they'll send you a new one. If not, the headphone jack is known to drain the battery. Also it may be a good idea to keep the batteries out of the remote when not using it.
