Is it common for the admin to update a post as the original poster?

Hello,

I posted a deal which I thought was a good one but when I checked back later, I am no longer the OP for that deal. Someone else put their name on it. Is it common? Am I missing a rule about posts? It feels weird someone else taking the credit for your posts. And oh, I definitely posted a deal and not a thread.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Perhaps someone posted the same deal before you did, and they combined the threads to maintain all the info in a single place? To the extent that deals get reposted, that is a fairly common thing. I wouldn't get discouraged about that, happens to everyone at some point.
