Any idea if this is in-store as well, or just online?

This is a really bad router, keeps heating and dropping connections, range is limited due to no antennas. Check online reviews before you buy. The asus 1750/1900 frok tmobile that keeps popping up on sd for under $50 is a better bet.

I have this and not too happy with it. I had comcast earlier and their service sucks. switched to fios and on 50/50 plan. using this router with them and connection speed is not ideal. I am in 2 story SFH. Router is on 2nd floor and i will have issues with speed from time to time. I thought verizon had better and reliable service. It cant be bad service with both provider, so doubting this router now.

Agree. This thing is garbage. I just removed it yesterday, due to the constant drops. Worked well for about a month. Went back to my old asus for now.

I have this router as well and although it has simultaneous dual band (2.4 & 5ghz) it isn't as strong or reliable as my 9yr old Netgear wrn2000. This router seems to struggle in crowded neighborhoods, I've tried every channel and mode configuration you could think of to no avail. In dual mode It's not completely terrible it , might work better as part of a large network, maybe in a multi floor building but don't quote me on that.
After having this almost 8 months I'm ready to move on.

I got this as a refurb a few months ago and it's not bad for the price. It does drop from time to time, though.

Is it tomato or ddwrt compatible? I put those fw on older e2xxx and 3500. Seems very good other than range. Stock fw was crap. If i ever get my hands on newer e series i definitely want tomato or ddwrt for stability.

No clue. Just used it out of box and never did any changes myself. Not sure if fw was upgraded automatically..

Theses tend to overheat eventually and the logo will just blink . If you do get this buy some small heatsinks and put them on .
