Recommend a Roku player for Xfinity

So I got in on the $500 GC Xfinity Mobile deal and chatted with the rep about my TV/internet service while I was at it. He suggested that to save $$, I could return the 2 "satellite" boxes I have which are $10/ea/mo and instead get roku boxes for each TV; supposedly there is an Xfinity Roku app that allows a better experience (he said just like the Xfinity interface) than the Android or iphone apps. The app use is free (although looking online I guess comcast was threatening to charge for it).

I have a FireTV, but supposedly that isn't the same as the Roku interface.

So there are several Roku devices - what's the cheapest one that would suffice here? I'm not looking for any other abilities; the focus will be on PBP - @ $10/mo.

The best choice would be the the Roku Streaming Stick (normally $50) or Streaming Stick+ (normally $70). Make sure you get the 2017 version. I think the stick+ was on sale for $45 black friday.

The stick+ has a 4k support and better wifi.

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?

I got the cheaper version from WM... Express? It was like $30. Seems to work fine with the Xfinity app, not exactly like the Xfinity box, but workable. Also benefit access to Plex from same device. Will suffice for workout room but DW probably wouldn't like it in the BR because she's too accustomed to the Xfinity remote and interface.

I'd check out https://www.roku.com/products/compare
and some reviews that breakdown the differences.

For me the streaming stick is worth the extra $10 currently ($39), it adds:
dual band mimo 802.11ac,
power/volume buttons on the remote
voice search.

The stick+ doubles the ram and storage, even better wifi, and 4k.
