Some dude here in Boise, ID owns this company... It's the same as the Franklin (not that bigger Franklin company) stud finder.

I have the one from two years ago... It's good, but not amazing. Sometimes I still grab my other one to find the center, center of the stud for larger bolts.

I have this from Costco. Much easier to use and more accurate than the $15 one at Home Depot. It shows you where the stud is and also how wide with lit up leds.

The magnetic ones are inexpensive and work great at one thing, slowly finding screws or nails. Hopefully what you find is in the middle of a stud, not offset or in horizontal fireblocking...and good luck using one of those on plaster.

While the one in this deal is more expensive than the cheaper alternatives, it is really easy to use and it quickly and accurately shows where the edges and middle of the studs are.
