This is the best deal I've seen on this projector (+no shipping/tax that I see), but I'm sure a lot of people are like me, and waiting for the price to get as low as $1,500 - $2,000
But I wanted to post it, because it is
the best price I've seen so far.
Now this (UHD65) is similar to the UHD60 ($2,000), but has slightly better color
and Pure Motion
(aka the smooth soap opera effect people love or hate). Yet the UHD60 ($2,000) is brighter, but you also sacrifice color.
One other thing I'll mention, whenever a post is created about UHD60/UHD65 projectors, the thread blows up with people arguing about everything, the biggest topic being "is it true 4k or not".
To save you the trouble... it's not native 4k (it's 2716x1528) but uses micro-mirrors and pixel-shifting technology to achieve the results on the screen. The UHD65 does meet the criteria to display 8.3 million pixels (according to CTA & TI, TI being the manufacturer behind the imaging chip), but still it's not true 4k. According to a lot of websites out there that have reviewed the UHD65 side by side with a true 4k projector, there wasn't any significant difference in detail side by siide. If you'd like to read an article in detail, here's a good one (but if you Google you'll find a bunch more):
Anyway, let's all be nice to each other, discuss!
