Stumbled on this when checking out another Shark deal.

Shark NV552 Rotator Lift-away Deluxe Complete Vacuum
- Perfect for both carpets and bare floors
- Enhanced swivel steering
- 30 foot cord length
- Sealed vacuum technology filtration with washable HEPA filters
- Suction control

$149.00 seems like a great price (was $239.99, Save 90.99).

Available at Walmart.com [walmart.com] and Newegg.com [newegg.com] - Walmart expired

Next cheapest price I could find with a quick search was $199 @ Kohls.

They also have the NV751 (which I own) for $159... retailed for $299. May be a better deal as it has a powered wand. I can't say enough good about it. I think I paid $250 with kohls cash back and was fine with that. Had a dyson previously that I returned and the shark blows (or sucks?) it away.

I have a standard no frills Shark at work and it does the job well.

I also have a lift away deluxe at home.
I am not a fan of the LA deluxe. It vacuums great but it feels flimsier than the basic model due to the extra enhancements.
Also, because of the lift away feature, The cord is mounted low on the unit and always gets in the way. Very annoying to me.

I never use the lift away feature and I have a excellent small Rigid shop vac for those needs.

I also have a excellent whole house vac system as well.

If I could choose one system though it would be a cordless Shark or Dyson.

But the Navigator system vacuums well all things considered.

This is probably a great vacuum, but I also have found the inexpensive Eureka Airspeed Unlimited Rewind to have incredible suction power for about half the price of this. For Amazon Prime member, they have it for $79.98 with free delivery. It's normally $129. I believe Costco has it for about the same price. Amazing vacuum and definitely more powerful than the Dyson my parents own. Not trying to knock this deal or say it doesn't perform even better than the Eureka. I have no clue as I haven't used this one. Just trying to offer more options for those who don't want to spend as much and get excellent performance.

Thanks josephgoff,

I ordered the Eureka from Amazon just now (would have preferred Costco but they don't have it per the phone rep).
The brush roll in my Shark Rotator (subject item), broke after 3.5 years. It's a small insignificant electronic part which they would not comp or even sell reasonably; they would sell the entire head for more than I paid for the Eureka.
Shark has been good but I feel too many parts and pieces, and unwieldy at times. Hate to throw away things but that's how they make and price 'em.
