Best deal I've seen for a Tracfone 1 year extension of data/service time at QVC [qvc.com].
  • 5" screen
  • 1 GB memory
  • 8 GB storage
  • 1500 minutes and texts
  • 1.5 GB data
  • 1 year of service
  • 854 x 480 display
  • 5 MP rear, 5 MP front cameras
  • Android 6.0.1
  • Verizon CDMA

Obviously, the minutes included are worth more than the phone, and the phone is not so great. So, a good option for people just looking to extend their service at a good price, and get a free phone to go with it.

$59.96 phone + $5.50 shipping. If you're a new customer, you can get $5 off with coupon code FIVE4U

Yes. 1 year of service, until you either burn through all the minutes, or reach the end of the year.

Does year of service start at date of purchase/delivery, or date of activation?

Tempted to order this for my son who has lousy GSM coverage in the middle of Maine, but he's only two weeks away from coming home for between-semester break. Would love to start the clock when he goes back in Jan......

Unless your son is 62 he'll burn through 1.5gb in a week.

Not all kids are parented by Zuckerberg. Some are actually raised by their non-millenial parents.

Does anyone know if the 1 year of service is via card they give you in the box or it is already loaded on the phone? I need to get a refill card for my mom and this whole package is half the price of the 1 year of service itself. But she has a better phone than this one so I don't want the phone, just the year of service.

Just saying kids, regardless of their parenting, will likely have friends that are active online and communicate via text. I suppose if you told the child the phone was strictly for communicating with parents this might last a whole year though (assuming they listen).

My kids prefer to communicate with their friends face to face. So do their friends. Just saying...

Bundles do not come with physical cards anymore...the service comes with phone when activated.

Most campuses have great wifi, so data isn't an issue. Cell coverage is so bad up there, he skypes or facetimes us on wifi instead of calling.
